Prompting BI is a space for dialogue on how to navigate the ever-changing world of business intelligence — especially through the use of AI. Having a place to debate ideas, share what works, and pressure-test what doesn't is crucial to understanding the next generation of curating data.

About me

I've been passionate about Power BI and the impact of data analysis on decision-making since the tool was still called "Power BI Designer." I consume whatever I can to constantly learn and apply, so that the people I work with can make decisions based on data that actually matters.

As a consultant, I focus on advisory work around adoption and process, training, and development for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric inside organizations. I lead the Chicago Power BI User Group (downtown), which meets every month, and I'm one of the hosts of the powerbi.tips Explicit Measures Podcast, where Mike Carlo, Seth Bauer, and I dig into the impact and the "why" behind Microsoft's Power BI features and tools — every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30am on YouTube.

I'm based in Chicago, originally from Long Island, NY, and a HUGE Yankees fan — probably too much of one. Any new experiment on what can be done with data and statistics usually gets tested on baseball stats first.
